The Most Forgotten Items You Must Include in Your Wedding Budget
Planning for a wedding takes a lot of time as there are so many different areas that need attention: booking a venue, buying a wedding dress, ordering food, selecting a band, etc. Even if you have a checklist, there are bound to be a few items that are inevitably left out so we thought it would be a great idea to make a list of the items that are most often forgotten about and thus are left out of the wedding budget.

Tips/Tipping: This one is big. Generally, if vendors own the business you aren’t required to tip unless the service was amazing and you want to because every penny goes to them. However, if your vendor works for a company, then you should tip them. To be clear – if you hire XYZ DJs and they send you Bob, who works for them, you should tip Bob, but if you hire Joe from Joe’s DJ and he’s a one-man operation, you don’t have to tip. You may also want to tip the Rabbi, make-up artist, venue coordinator, drivers, etc.
Events
Gift Baskets for Your Guests
Donation to Synagogue for Shabbat Chattan and Kiddush
Gift for Shabbat Dinner/Lunch
Parking at Wedding Venue and Other Receptions
Venues and Vendors Cancellation Fees (in case you change your mind about any of them)
Postage for Invitations and Thank You Notes (plan a bigger budget if you are sending overseas)
If you want to have a photo album with pictures from the day or want to put some beautiful portraits in your house, then you should add the cost of printing pictures to your budget as this is usually not included in your photographer’s deal.
Summary
As you can see, there can be quite a few items left out off your wedding planning budget. This means that if you happen to see some items that you have forgotten to include in your wedding budget then you might have to do a little bit of financial rearranging so that your budget is able to accommodate all of your wedding needs.
NOTE: Some of the forgotten items are related to having your wedding in Israel. Israel is not only one of the most beautiful places to have your wedding, it is also becoming one of the most popular places for a destination wedding.
